Let’s roll…

So after a nice few weeks on break, all systems are now go for the holiday crop. The new starts are running and we are pairing down candidates for flowering, with a very nice assortment. No new changes on the legal fronts, don’t fall for any clickbait good or bad. Keep reading and I’ll wrap this quick update with some thoughts and get back to work in the garden :)

Seeds poppin’ and nurturing seedlings are like welcoming new children to this world. Now it’s my job to protect, feed and maintain a platform for growth and these ladies will literally grow like weeds, just like kids. Finding solid seed vendors can be hit/miss with folks blasting about having the top strains, when they can’t even spell or understand phenotypes or just basic genetics. While I am constantly looking to try exotic strains, our best luck has been with Humboldt Seed Company. Not a paid plug, but these guys are not a pop-up business, they are legitimate breeders with a solid reputation and history of success. Got some mixed goodies on this run, including a Cherry Bubblegum, Jelly Donutz, Skywalker OG and will try a new Dream variation. Should be a beautiful display come Thanksgiving time :)

There are no changes to the state or federal laws at this point and will not be any changes if any until we get into 2025. So like it or not, legal cannabis/hemp has been readily available widespread for years now. Why would we ever want to go backwards with legislation that cripples a multi-billion dollar industry posed to capture petro/pharma share? Anyone want to give up any of our already threatened rights, be my guest. Otherwise, get on with your business and leave our cannabis, alcohol, coffee and tobacco alone (hmmm, which one is not like the other, see what I’m saying :))
